Giraffe Center And Karen Blixen Museum Excursion

Giraffe Center is home to the Rothschild giraffe which is one of the endangered giraffe species. The giraffe center located in Nairobi; Kenya has always been a must visit place for anyone willing to have a lifetime experience while in Kenya. A visit to this place gives you a chance to interact with this marvelous wildlife where you can hand feed them. You also get to see these adorable animals up close feeding on the surrounding acacia trees. At the Giraffe Center, there is an Information Centre where you can learn about how these endangered Rothschild giraffes are being bred and protected and later released to the wild. While here, you will also likely observe some warthogs who often roam freely around the giraffes.

After a visit to the Giraffe Center, we proceed for lunch at either Utamaduni restaurant or Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens where you will have a variety of cuisines to choose from and paid directly from owns pocket. We then pass by Kazuri Beads where you will find amazing hand-made jewelry mostly made by single mothers through a rigorous crafty process. You get to acquire souvenirs which you can take back home.

Thereafter, we have a tour of the Karen Blixen Museum. Karen Blixen Museum is a wander garden located at the foot of Ngong hills. This is a historical garden in which the ‘Out of Africa’ autobiography novel by the Danish author, Karen Blixen is based. The Karen Blixen Museum takes you back in time while at the same time you enjoy the lush gardens and the tranquility provided by over 200 species of flower species.
