The all-in-one tour of Kenya in less than 20 days. It all begins in Nairobi.
Following a night in Nairobi to relax and enjoy a historic tour of Nairobi or a delightful restaurant, depart early in the morning on a safari to Samburu. Kenya Horizons is one of the most popular safaris in Kenya, where lodges are stylish, guides are knowledgeable, and scenery extraordinary. From gerenuk browsing vertically in the Samburu, to the resident hippos of the Mara River, this is an exhilarating safari.
You will also explore Nairobi city starting from the the Giraffe Centre. This is a nature Centre run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. An elevated observation walkway allows you to get face to face with 18-foot-tall Rothschild’s giraffes. After the Giraffe Centre, you will depart to the David Sheldrick Elephant trust where you will see the baby elephants, those that have been adopted being fed.
You can actually adopt an elephant too. Thereafter this adventure, have lunch at the carnivore restaurant. After visit the Karen Blixen Museum. The Museum is situated on a farm at the base of the Ngong Hills. The museum takes its name from its Danish owner Karen Blixen and stands as a marvelous reflection of what Kenya was like many years ago.

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by me and transferred to Tamarind Tree hotel for check in and remainder of the day at leisure.
Destination: Nairobi City
Meal Plan: Breakfast.
Day 2: Nairobi City Excursion.
At 0830 hrs Start your exploration of this beautiful city as you depart to the Giraffe Centre. This is a nature centre run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. Day 3: Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve.
Leave Nairobi after breakfast to Samburu, heading north, you'll pass near Thika and continue north through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee. After Nanyuki town, you'll continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district. From here it's a fairly short hop to Samburu. Arrival at the camp in time for lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive returning to the camp as the sunsets.

Day 4 - 5: Samburu Game Reserve.
Early morning game drive is followed by breakfast, and time to relax by the camp pool or the terrace overlooking the river. After lunch there will be another game drive returning to the camp as the sunsets. The highlights of Samburu Game Reserve include its scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserve has numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife, which includes leopards, hippos, elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River. In addition, over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.
After breakfast depart with picnic lunch to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. The sanctuary was designed to Rescue and release orphaned and abandoned elephant calves, whilst creating much needed benefits to the local people that live alongside them. The Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, is the representation of the communities standing up united for wildlife, in recognition of the value that they can cultivate. Opportunities are being created, livelihoods are improving and wildlife is returning, proving that nature can provide a sustainable economy for the populations that occupy its magnificent ecosystem.
The orphaned elephant that are cared for by the Samburu community, are symbols of a new wave of thinking about wildlife and the environment, that goes far beyond traditional conservation methods, and dives deeper into the core value of what nature represents.
During your visit, you will paired with a keeper who will accompany you the entire time to tell you about our work and answer any questions. From a special viewing platform, you will watch the elephants come in from their walk to receive their bottles and then have mud hole playtime. Afterwards, you will be given a behind the scenes tour of the sanctuary.
Later return back to Samburu National reserve for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - 7: Ol pejeta Conservancy
You will have breakfast and then go on a game drive as we exit the park and drive to the Mount Kenya region. Lunch will be at Sweetwater’s tented camp before we proceed on an afternoon game drive in Sweetwater’s sanctuary. Your dinner and overnight will be at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp.
Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for the rehabilitation of widely abused chimpanzees in Kenya. Two groups of these primates live in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. This is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. There is also a healthy population of elephants in the conservancy.
Today we explore exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary on two extensive game runs. Serena Sweetwaters Tented camp overlooks one of the busiest waterhole's in the area and offers elephant, giraffe and myriad plains game. This is Africa as Teddy Roosevelt saw it years ago when he led one of the first safaris to tour Africa in comfort and splendor. The tents at Sweetwaters will remind us of this bygone era.

Day 8: Olpejeta Conservancy – Lake Naivasha
An early morning start takes you North West as you head for Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237 foot cascade. Now travel to your next destination, the spectacular Lake Naivasha arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. The Rift Valley lakes make up some of the oldest and deepest lakes in the world. Lake Naivasha is the highest of all the lakes and features pristine fresh water. In the afternoon, you will take an Optional cruise around the lake to view the resident hippos payable direct. If you are lucky, you might even spot a fish eagle as well as a visit to the crescent island for a one-hour walking safari with the resident herbivores including giraffes and gnus found in this island (Payable direct). In the evening transfer back to your lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Narok town via Mai-Mahiu with a brief a rest stop and proceed on to Mara arriving in time for lunch at the camp. After lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive returning back to the lcamp as the sunsets.

Days 10 - 11: Masai Mara
Early morning game drive in the reserve returning back to your camp for breakfast Or breakfast Full day spend in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodiles with a visit to Mara river. In the late afternoon on your way back to the camp, avisit to a Masai village and a school at an Extra Cost. In the evening spend a few hours enjoying the camp’s recreational facilities such as the swimming pool or you may take a walk with the resident camp naturalist.

Day 12: Maasai Mara – Nairobi.
Early Morning Game drive in the reserve and drive back to the camp for breakfast. After checking out proceed to Nairobi lunch in Narok town. Arrive Nairobi

Day 13: Nairobi- Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, a road journey takes you into Amboseli National Park, set at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The park may be best known for its herds of elephants and the ground-breaking research began by Cynthia Moss in the early 1970’s. Along with these gentle giants, other plains game such as zebra, wildebeest and buffalo are in abundance. Arrive in time for check in and lunch at sentrim Camp. Afternoon game viewings drive in the ark before returning to your lodge for dinner and Overnight.

Day 14 - 15: Amboseli.
Early morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli National Park is situated near the border of Kenya and Tanzania in the south east region of Kenya about 250 kms from Nairobi. Magnificent views of snow-capped Kilimanjaro are dominant. The best time to see it, however, is early morning or just around sunset. This is Africa’s highest mountain – some call it “the rooftop of Africa”. Game drives with all meals and overnight in the Lodge.

Day 16: Amboseli to Tsavo west National Park
Early pre-breakfast game viewing at the Amboseli national park. Weather permitting the crowds will shear off, leaving you mesmerized by the majesty of the Kilimanjaro and its gleaming snow capped peaks. Breakfast at your camp. Depart the Amboseli National Park for the Tsavo West national park with game viewing drives en-route. Visit to the Mzima springs. Crystal clear waters emanate from the ground creating an oasis in this relatively dry region. You shall see hippos in close up, crocodiles, exotic fish and unique migratory and resident bird species. Arrive at your lodge for a welcome shower, refreshments and lunch. A short rest after lunch. Afternoon game viewing drives in search of rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions and many more. The Tsavo west national park terrain is hilly and scraggy. The scenery is dramatic and the sense of adventure more pronounced. Showers, refreshments, dinner and overnight at your chosen lodge accommodation.

Day 17: Tsavo West National Park.
Early morning and afternoon game drives in the park.
Tsavo is nearly 22,000km2, being the largest national park in Kenya and one of the largest in the world. The park was split into two due to the railway going from Mombasa to the interior of Kenya. The National Parks of Tsavo East and Tsavo West together form one of Africa's largest wilderness reserves. The sheer scale of Tsavo gives the visitor a chance to really get away from it all, and to explore the wild in total solitude.

Day 18: Tsavo West National Park
Following an early breakfast, you’ll catch your last views of the park as you depart. Drive north along a good tarmac road across the beautiful and seemingly never ending Plains, arriving in Kenya's bustling capital city of Nairobi by mid-day. On arrival, drop off at the Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
