Why Nairobi is called the ‘green city under the sun’

Nairobi Capital City

Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name is derived from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which translates to “place of cool waters”, a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city.

Known as the safari capital of Africa, Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and nightlife.  In addition to its urban core, the city has Nairobi National Park, a large game reserve known for breeding endangered black rhinos and home to giraffes, zebras and lions

Nairobi’s location is close to so many stunning wildlife reserves, mountains and savannas, and parks filled with amazing fauna.
